The accidental surprise

It had been a while since me and my husband saw an hindi movie. So we decided to catch a hindi flick today. I was very keen to watch Jodha Akbar while my husband was totally against watching a movie that was so long that you would feel you have been watching the movie forever. I told him hey come on after all that haha hehes aboout jodha akbar who would'nt want to see it and Hrithik looks truly like a greek god in that picture. I said no way we are watching it and the conversation ends there. My husband didnt have a choice he agreed to sit for 3.5 hours. So we left to a place called Ilford, thats the place where the cine halls shows hindi movies. After a long 1.5 hour bus ride we reached half an hour after the movie started. Now unlike India these guys dont allow you to watch the movie if you go this late. So we decided to watch whicever movie was showing at that time. We found a movie called 'The accidental husband' starring Uma Thurman,Colin Firth and one other new guy. Now come on we didnt want to waste our 1.5 hour bus journey so we decided to give this a try. When we sat to watch the flick, we realised it to be a total chik flick. Romance, emotions etc etc you know what i mean. My husband was like what the hell. We looked around and found no single man. The ladies were completely enjoying the movie with their loud giggles and sighs.Apparently my husband was the only one. but we decided to sit through the movie. Suddenly in the middle of the movie we hear the song 'Dumdumdumaka dam damdamaka..yaro yarodi' from Alaipayuthe. we were like WHAT!!! and this was not it at the end of the movie we hear the song 'Swasame' from the movie Thenali. We were thrilled. The people around us had no clue which language that is and why the hell it was played in an englich movie but we both were thrilled. so we stayed till the end of the movie to see if our maestro Rehman (apparently both the songs were by Rehman) has been given any credit. Everyone left the hall, the sweeper was waiting for us to leave but we didnt move till we saw Rehman's name bold and clear on the screen. Then we did our bit of analysis why this movie had a tamil song and concluded that Uma Karuna Thurman's (thats her full name, taken from here) parents were major Bhuddist follwers so maybe she had a bit of that influence and must have listened to rehman's numbers. Now come on who cannot possibly love Rehman. Well thats our conclusion incase you can think of anything please do let me know. But i would definitely recommed this picture for all those who liked movies like 'You've got mail' , "my best friends wedding'. Happy watching.
