Do you have a Carrie Bradshaw in you??

How many of us like Sex and the city?? Most of us do. I love it. If you are city girl who has great taste for clothing and fashion, you are a shoe fetish, you love spending time with your girl friends and you have fallen in and out of love several times, then you should be watching Sex and the city. When I first heard about this when I was in college, I thought it must be one of those raunchy soaps where they show obscene things. Though I always wanted to watch it, like they say curiosity kills the cat, but I had some restrictions back home, not explicit ones but it was next to impossible to watch it as the tele was in the living room and the living room was close to my parents room. I appeased my want finally when I was in London. I was surprised that it was indeed a delightful soap to watch. It did not have any of that vulgar 'stuff' i thought it would.
Carrie Bradshaw, a character we all could connect at some point of our life. A new yorker columnist who writes her very own experience in love, life and career titled 'Sex and the City'. Her life is a struggle in terms of career and love but her love for shoes never fades no matter the bank balance. When she is depressed and devastated she runs to crab her Manolo's. When she gets into a relationship she thinks 'This is it'. And boom it just goes out the window and in comes Manolo's. Her love for the city New york is incomparable. And so is her love for her 3 dear most friends. Carrie has had many relationships some of the most notable long term ones are Aden, Burger and Petrovsky. The most prominent one you see along all the seasons are my very favourite Mr.Big.
Now here is my point. Ok we all have girl friends with whom we hang out, eat brunch,gossip,shop, yeah that way we can realte to Carrie but the classic connection is Mr.Big. He is the whole of the men's community personified. You can relate his character to your boy friend from school or college. He is a complete jerk but you still love him and go back to him again and again no matter what relationship you are in. You are so attracted to him that every time you see him on the road (after you have broken up with him) you go all weak-knee and tight-lipped in front of him and you say the most unforgivable 'Hey its so good to see you.' (ya right thanks for spoiling my entire day and my very exciting night). Your Mr.Big just gives one of his killer looks and says 'you look amazing' and you just find yourself pulled towards him all over again. You assimilate him to your system. Your friends just like Carrie's hates you for doing that. They say 'stay away from him, he is a jerk' but you just don't listen to them, your mind pays heeds to every word of theirs but your heart just shuts away. And every breakup with your current boyfriend is because of your 'unfading' and 'always and forever' love that you have for your Mr.Big. Love for you is a vicious circle, you keep coming back to Mr.Big again and again and again. But though Carrie always knew deep in side that Mr.Big is the one, for Mr.Big it took a whole 6 seasons to realise that Carrie is the one for him. But not all of us ended up with Mr.Big but most of us did end up with Mr.Magnanimous, who gives us the feeling that you have to meet all the wrong ones to meet your Mr.Right.
