Confessions of a Shopaholic

There are certain things in life which can be given up, career, for instance to make your marriage work, chocolates to lose weight but for a women there is one thing she will never give up in her life and that is Shopping. Shopping for women is not just a process that involves buying something she is in need of. Shopping for women is a therapy, a stress buster, an instant energiser, a quick ejaculation of eternal pleasure. From Oxford street in London to Champs De Elysee in Paris, from Linking road in Mumbai to Commercial street in Bangalore, they are the most divine destinations as far as women are concerned. Be it a handicraft exhibition, a flee market sale or a end of season sale we are more informed than the CNBC or BBC. The mere delight of walking into a store that has the latest spring summer collection, is ecstatic. And the emotion when we spot the one that we always wanted to possess at a price that is so priceless is simply sensational. To top it all when we see a sign board that says buy 2 get 1 free then that is it, its like the war has been won. When we find that perfect kurti for the occasion our heart aches for that perfect joothi that has to go with the kurti and when we find that the heart pleads for that bag that will finish the look and finally when we swipe that card, pick the bag and walk out of the store its like a whole new world has just begun. Its like, 'hey now i can take on the world.'
Today at the supermarket I spotted a lady with a beautiful neck wear. I went up to her and said 'I love what your wearing on your neck where did you buy it from.' and she was like 'its some handicraft exhibition. I bought this, came out of the shop and i spotted this salwar kameez in the next shop and I thought how well it will go with that necklace and I just bought it.' Now that definitely is a confession of a true shopaholic.
